Enzyme washing is a process which uses enzymes to soften and finish fabric; providing fabric with a worn-in look and feel. The use of enzymes comes with various benefits both economically and environmentally. Enzymes are proteins produced by living organisms. Enzyme washing is ecologically friendly due to the natural origins of enzymes, which biodegrade.
Enzyme washing process breaks the stain down into smaller molecules which can then be removed. Enzyme washing also produces a softer, more supple garment which gives it a clear and uniform surface which makes it perfect for printing.
For delicate fabrics, enzyme washing can be an excellent way to get clothing fresh and clean without harming the fabric. Enzymes also function at low temperatures, making them suitable for cold wash only fabrics.
The enzymes will not affect the strength of the fabric, but they will make the fabric softer and more worn looking.
